The operating problem

Receiving is more than marking a delivery complete. The operator needs the relevant purchase order, the remaining quantity, supporting documents, and the warehouse location. A queue that includes already-received or already-documented deliveries creates noise and makes the next action harder to identify.

What we built

We updated purchasing and receiving workflows to carry warehouse location context through the Zoho Inventory integration and the custom portal. This allows the application to resolve the destination needed by the operation instead of relying on an older single-location assumption.

Document and packing-list screens were refined to show work that still needs attention. Received deliveries and records with completed documentation are excluded from the corresponding action queues. The operating interface keeps order references, documents, and receiving status connected, while the inventory platform remains the source for the integrated business records.

What the work enables

The resulting workflow gives receiving staff a more focused queue and the location context needed to act on the correct delivery. The change improves the representation of the work itself; it does not imply that document upload alone proves that stock was physically received.

Reusable lesson

Show the next unfinished receiving action and carry warehouse context with the transaction.
