The operating problem
Warehouse work does not always happen in one uninterrupted browser session. A reload or interruption should not force the operator to reconstruct progress from memory. Supervisors also need activity measures that reflect actual picking work, not merely the time that an order remained open.
What we built
We added resumable dispatch progress to the existing picking workflow and made page reloads safe for ongoing work. The interface can recover the recorded state so the operator sees the same task context after an interruption.
A separate analytics view uses defined picking sessions and reports cases picked. That distinction matters: session activity, order status, and total elapsed time are different measures. The reporting work complements the scan-validation system by making completed operational activity visible without changing the inventory platform’s role.
What the work enables
The delivered features improve continuity on the warehouse floor and provide an inspectable record for operational review. They give the team a basis for discussing workload and exceptions without treating every pause as operator inactivity or making unsupported productivity claims.
Persist the work state needed to resume, and define the unit of operational activity before reporting performance.
